Please help tigers and ban the tiger trade - just add your voice to this campaign

Do you love tigers?

If you do, and you'd like to do your bit to help tigers from the comfort of your own home, please take a look at a campaign the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation is running to ban the tiger trade.

The Foundation is aiming to get 500,000 signatures on its Ban the Tiger Trade campaign by October 2015 and to deliver them to the Chinese Embassy in London ahead of the CITES meeting in 2016.

The more TigerTime supporters the Foundation can get, the more vital conservation it can fund to keep the tiger safe in wild habitats.  It can also influence governments to stop the killing and ban the trade in tiger parts.

The Foundation's conservation work is continuing to protect tigers in India, Thailand and Russia;  their efforts involve:
  • funding anti-poaching teams
  • educational programmes
  • under cover investigations into wildlife crime
  • community outreach
  • alternative income projects to ensure tigers and people have a sustainable long term future
There are about 3,200 tigers left in the wild so every tiger counts.
