Shoe Box Appeal for Monkeys

Just browsing the internet yesterday as you do, I came across the website for Monkey World in Dorset. Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre is home to over 240 rescued and endangered primates.  I had a good delve through their website and my eye came across their Shoe Box Appeal

The primates eat a specific diet, and the park started a Shoe Box Appeal.

The idea is that you fill a box of treats for the primates and either end them to Monkey World or bring them to the park itself.  They have great pictures of the donated boxes and there's a list of the items they need in your shoe box on their website.

Now, no food past its sell-by or use-by date, please, or food that's already been opened.

If you think it's going to be problematic to send a Shoe Box, there are other ways you can help the primates at Monkey World.

You could adopt a primate as a gift for someone, perhaps for a Christmas present.  Or you could support their Rope Toy Appeal.  They help the monkeys move about safely as they give them something strong to climb on to and stable to grip onto.  Monkey World have joined forces with those lovely people at the Radway Green Garden Centre.  For every rope 2 toys you buy for the monkeys (they are £2.49 each), they will throw in an extra one for free!
