Help with wildlife conservation with an app

It's amazing how technology is helping various wildlife charities plan and work on wildlife conservation.

Froglife works to conserve native reptiles and amphibians.  It now has a Dragon Finder App, so when you are out and about, if you see one, you can let Froglife know.

The Dragon Finder app is available for download for free - there's more of the technical stuff here -

The app enables you to do 3 things
  1. Identify reptiles and amphibians - there are simple questionnaires, photos and illustrations to help you identify who you've spotted
  2. Report your sightings quickly and easily - this also includes any animals dead or diseased because it helps show where there are diseases in the UK
  3. Find out more about individual species, including getting tips for identification

There a You Tube video with more info here

Remember to download any apps from a trusted source!

By the way, 25th April 2015 is Save the Frogs Day to encourage the appreciation and celebration of amphibians by people from all walks of life.
