Sumatran cubs at Chester Zoo

I was just browsing the BBC website, and came across some lovely footage of the three Sumatran cubs born to eight year old mum Kirana on January 2nd at Chester Zoo.

Sumatran tigers are very rare, so this is great news for the species.   You can find out more about Chester Zoo's conservation and research work here

The zoo has ten flagship programmes covering species such as jaguars, Asian elephants, orang-utans, black rhinos, amphibians, and UK wildlife.  It also supports conservation projects around the globe aiming to conserve threatened species around the world, from species monitoring and habitat protection to training and education.

Here is the zoo's video from You Tube - hidden cameras caught the cubs on film.  And congratulations to mum Kirana!
