Recycling Christmas trees for lions & goats

Taking a canter through the BBC's website yesterday, I came across this delightful story of the lions at Linton Zoo enjoying recycled Christmas trees.   Moving on to You Tube, I discovered a video about it - here they are :-)

It's good to see Christmas trees being put to good use, and there are a number of zoos and wildlife parks which love to give Christmas trees to their animals to keep them amused and give them something to enjoy & play with.  You can find out more about Linton Zoo in Cambridgeshire here

Meantime in Dorset, at Fancy Farm community farm, the Portland goats have been munching on Christmas trees brought to them by the public.  The farm is keen to have donations of Christmas trees, according to the BBC's website, and here's a list of other things they need.

Meantime, if you fancy having a wildlife conservation holiday for lions, tigers & bears etc in their natural habitats or you want to have a wildlife holiday, check out Responsible Travel - they have lots of holidays listed.
