How does the General Election 2015 in the UK help animals?

Tomorrow on Monday 30th March, David Cameron dissolves Parliament and the campaign to form the next UK Government starts.  This gives all UK voters a chance to stress the importance of humane and sustainable farming to MPs in their area.

Compassionin World Farming has been in touch asking supporters to make it clear to prospective Parliamentary Candidates that the UK needs a better food system.  The CIWF says sustainable farming that nourishes our health, the environment and promotes higher animal welfare must become the rule, not the exception.

You can write to your local MP candidates and ensure they make higher welfare farming a priority – the CIFW has made this easy to do in a minute.  You can even pick out those issues which are most important to you – such as ending the Cage Age for 700 million European animals – and highlight those in your email.

Clickhere to send the candidates in your area an email to convince the parliamentary candidates in your area that we need a new farming system.
And please join the campaign to make farming rabbits in cages illegal.
