Knit for Kittens!

Yesterday I received a delightful email from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home.   Amongst its various items was an invite to knitters to a Knitting Kittens Club.

The club meets every month at Battersea's London and Old Windsow centres.  You are asked to donate £2 to go, and at the club you can create donations for Battersea's cats such as knitted mice, blankets and toys.

It all sounds a purrfect way to while away a couple of hours, meeting fellow knitters who love cats and who want to make a difference to them;  but if you can't get to Battersea's centre, the charity has put a knitted blanket to download on their website, so you could always knit and post (please make sure you put enough postage on your packages).

You can find more information about the Knitting Kittens Club here and also download the pattern from the page.

Knit one, purr one, knit one, purr one....

They do use some crochet blankets but prefer knitted ones, because they are less likely to get tangled up in tiny paws...

Miaow for now!
